Village Administrative Officers Exam Coaching
One of the major pursuits of ORSET was providing facilities of free coaching to rural and economically backward class students.

ORSET right from its inception is striving hard for the upliftment of rural and downtrodden people with much focus on education. As part of this commitment to motivate rural youths join Tamil Nadu Village Administrative Services, ORSET conducted 10 days Free VAO Examination Coaching classes giving opportunity to the rural youths to become an officer at grassroots level for Village administration.

ORSET aims to empower rural students in their educational pursuits on par with urban students.

Civil Services Examination Awareness Campaign.
There is scant awareness about UPSC and State Civil Services exam in rural areas,as many rural students are still deprived of knowledge and information regarding Civil Services examinations.

In order to bridge the gap and as part of it's mission of Spreading Literacy, ORSET in it's anniversary celebration conducted an awareness session on Civil Services Exam on 8 July 2007.
​
Mr. Shanmugam IAS and Mr. V Nandakumar IRS, serving officers, volunteered and conducted the awareness campaign on Civil Services, giving an outline of the various services and explained the structure, scheme and mode of preparation for the examination. Students from near by colleges and High Schools in and around Mannargudi Taluk attended the session.
Primary School Teachers Felicitation & Awards For School Toppers.
In order to motivate and encourage students to strive hard and excel in their studies ORSET presented Cash Awards for 44 School Toppers (SSLC and Plus Two) from various villages of Mannargudi Taluk, Tiruvarur District,Tamil Nadu as part of it's first Anniversary celebration.

ORSET with pride honoured and felicitated retired primary school teachers for their invaluable services rendered in shaping the budding village kids .
